The Tree

It is not easy to kill a tree,

It is quite strong you know.

Holding on with all its might,

By the ages it's been burrowing deep below.

Its a living creature too,

And with time grows stronger and fatter.

Building a strong, tough hide,

Which is not easy to shatter.

Man being a fool tried,

Attacking the body so huge and mighty.

All day he worked hard but still

He could only give it a scar.

He came back again to increase the strain,

Brough some tech and tools too.

But surprised he stared at the wound,

Which should have been on the bark.

It healed and niw jeeringly sneered,

At the furious man so naive.

The tree had know and grown in the world,

Long before the man was alive.
